Welfare Secretary James Purnell slams Philip Davies’ support for abolishing the Minimum Wage.

Ah, the word is spreading. Good! Do people know what they’re voting for when they vote for Philip Davies? A climate change opposer, now also a Minimum Wage opposer.

John Prescott is calling him out almost daily it seems, and now James Purnell, the Secretary of State for Welfare and Pensions is on the case.

Philip Davies spoke today to complain about the Equalities Bill going through Parliament (if it’s got the word equality in it, Philip Davies will complain about it).

James Purnell was having none of it though, as you can see here:

  1. Interesting watching this clip to see the fate on the various MPs in it. Purnell has resigned. Kitty, the posh Labour minister sitting behind him has been sacked, Winterton the Tory MP is standing downand his which just leave the very nasty Philip Davies looking smug.

  2. Tragic eh? Can’t have sympathy for MPs who played the system though no matter how good they were as ministers etc.

That said, we could have Bercow as Speaker and he thinks Davies is a troglodyte! :)
