John Prescott supports our campaign to Support the Minimum Wage against Philip Davies!

The campaign to Support the Minimum Wage goes from strenth to strength.

We have been collecting signatures locally to send to Philip Davies to tell him to stop his ridiculous support to abolish the Minimum Wage, and now John Prescott and Go Fourth have got behind the online campaign!

The campaign has been rebranded to go national as Wage Concern and USDAW and other unions are also getting involved.

I have to admit, given that I started it as an attempt to show people in Shipley just what Philip Davies’ views were like (Clue: Horrible), I’m finding it very surreal that a man who was Deputy Prime Minister for ten years is now backing my campaign and making YouTube videos promoting it.

They’re holding a rallying day on the day of the vote (May 15th) that I’d love to go to but the cost seems to be extortionate (travel, the rally is free!) so we’ll have to see. It would be nice to go down, I’m sure John would be kind enough to let me have a picture taken with him!

So – if you haven’t already, here is what you need to do to Support the Minimum Wage against Philip Davies and the Tories:
